CONFIGURING YOUR TCP/IP SETTINGS

Step 5
You should have completed steps one through three to ensure that all of the necessary network components are installed on your computer and you should have created a new CyTech connection in step four.

If you have not completed steps one through three, go to Creating a CyTech Connection.

If you have not completed step four, go to Creating a CyTech Connection - Part 2.

If you have completed steps one through four, then it is time to configure your TCP/IP settings. Follow these steps:


1. Double-click My Computer


2. Double-click Dial-Up Networking

3. Right-click on your new CyTech connection icon, and click properties.



4. The properties window for your CyTech connection opens as shown on the below. Do not change this information. Click the Server Types tab at the top of the window.



5. The Server Types window opens. Change your settings to match those shown below. When you are finished, click the TCP/IP Settings button on the bottom of the window.



6. The TCP/IP Settings window opens. Make sure that your settings match those shown below. When you are finished, click OK.



7. The TCP/IP Settings window closes and the properties window for your CyTech connection is displayed. Your settings are now complete. Click OK to close the properties window for your CyTech connection. When prompted to restart your computer, click yes.

Step 6
Now that all of the necessary network components are installed, you have created a new CyTech connection, and you have configured your TCP/IP settings, the process is complete. You can proceed to Connecting to your new Account.
